Roxburgh Operational Support

The Roxburgh Volunteer Fire Brigade was established in 1905, situated halfway between Queenstown and Dunedin on a busy SH8. The RVFB attend on average around 40-50 callouts a year, these mainly being motor vechile accidents, vegetation fires, and medical callouts.
Their Operational Support members cover a wide range of roles including, traffic control, setting up lighting, medicals, and general fire duties as required by the incident controller.
They have a support van and trailer (Rox4526) which provides the ability to move members to the incident and also provides extra lighting, hoses, pump and communications on the incident ground. Operational Support are an integral part of the brigade, backing up their 16 volunteer firefighters.
