Westport Operational Support

The Westport Operational Support unit was established in July 1977 as a Fire police unit. It has 6 current members. Their main work is traffic control at MVC's and fires in their dedicated support van (Westport 7829). They are also all fully trained first aid co-responders and some are approved BA fillers - which in the case of large fires, is helpful. As the brigade turns out to 150 calls a year, they are a fantastic part of the brigade.
